In January 2023, the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority (WQA) announced it would be receiving another $10 million under the Federal Funding Program Administration authorized by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. WQA distributed the money to the project applications received in the previous round of funding. On February 22, the Company received another $300,000 from WQA on top of the $2.3 million grant for the PFAS ion exchange treatment facility, making the total grant award $2.6 million.

The grant will cover approximately 57% of the capital costs totaling $4.6 million for the Well 8 ion exchange treatment facility which will remove PFAS from source drinking water served to Shareholders. Once constructed and operational, the facility will treat up to 3,000 gallons per minute.
